I was surprised when I saw this picture. I couldn't remember posing for it, really. But I loved the picture anyway... really.. Thanks for uploading it Aika!!!

Why do people get DRUNK?

Just a while ago, on my way home, inside a public utility jeep, i was sitting right in front of a drunk old man. He was really drunk. Few minutes after ridding in, he started coughing and sneezing like an asleep baby. He even didn't cover his mouth while doing the act!!! He spitted inside the jeep, right in front of my shoes, not just once!

It was so horrible... but suddenly I pity him. Questions like "Where is his wife?", "Where are his children?", "Who's taking care of him?", "Where does he live?", "Why is he drunk?" came flashing through my mind.

Some of the common answers to the last question are the following:

• Why not?
• peer pressure
• to be social
• just Drinking
• escapism or denial of reality
• to relax and relieve stress
• to fill a void
• emotional escape
• to numb their pain
• they are alcoholics
• gives me some extra confidence
• it makes someone feel good

Which of the above do you think is the old man's reason of getting drunk?
How about you? What are your reasons of getting drunk? Are they listed above? If not, what are they?

Let me ask you...

How would you know the will of GOD?

As this question was asked by our Campus Life administrator, several thoughts came flashing through our minds.

We then gave our answers and discussed them. My answer went like this...

"We will be able to realize that it is God's will especially in times when we are in a situation wherein we are trying our best to achieve a particular goal through any means possible but still fail in the end. And the outcome is not the one we expected and wanted."

Have you been in this kind of situation? How do you respond with it? Isn't it disappointing? But have you ever thought that it may be God's will?

But how would you really know the will of God? Our administrator's answer was...

"You have to know God first before you'll be able to know his will."

Now, think of your parents, your siblings, your friends, and those people around you... How would you know their will? Yes, you have to know them first. And once you know them already, you'll be able to know what they really want and what they really need.

Knowing someone may actually take time. And as each time passes by, you'll know him/her more and more...
